The songs in this album are as powerful and as passionate as Spencer has ever recorded. The violins intertwine their magical sound with the stark simplicity of the acoustic guitar. The solo work is inspired deliberate and is a gentle but grounding force throughout. Spencer's Comments: As we live we immerse ourselves in the season we are in. On a rainy summer's night with the muse ready to explode I set up my recording gear while the spirit hovered over me. The Apex of Summer written with the machine rolling is a seamless stream of thought. All the songs on Gardener's Rain seem to flow from this same consciousness.
